Friday, August 27th 5:00 – 9:00 pm
We’re excited to host a full weekend of music written by women, performed by women! This Friday, August 27th Fionnghal Celtic Trio, and the Claudia Austin Trio will be performing on our stage. Cover charge is $10 per person, or $25 to reserve a seat for all three nights. We will still be accepting canned food or cash donations for our local food bank!
Fionnghal (Fee-on-gal) is named for a Scottish revolutionary heroine Fionnghal (Flora) MacDonald. Among other revolutionary acts she is credited with rowing Bonnie Prince Charlie to safety after the battle of Culloden in 1746. All of the tunes for this Friday are contemporary tunes written by women. They have had fun exploring this repertoire and finding some fun new combinations.
The Claudia Austin Trio is led by singer and Buena Vista resident, Claudia Austin.
Austin’s musical journey has been underway since the early 70’s mostly in the Sonoma California area. In addition to handling the lead vocals she plays rhythm guitar. The trio is rounded out by bassist ‘Texas’ Ron Green and multi-instrumentalist Billy Lanham on lead guitar, slide, Dobro, Bouzouki, harmonica and vocals. Expect to hear a collection of folk-rock tunes, featuring stunning vocals, harmonies and varied instrumentation for a unique sound.
Chilango Street Cart will be serving their classic, street-style Mexican food for dinner. They have added a few new items to their menu to keep it exciting, and we love having them out here.
As always, the link above is available to make your reservations ahead of time. If you have any special requests please give us a call, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Hope to see you out here!
