At Emerson Vineyards, it is our goal to make the best wines possible while remaining good stewards of the land that surrounds us. We make decisions on a daily basis in the vineyard and in the winery that have an impact on more than just our bottlings. Whenever possible, we use organic solutions in tending our vines and wines.
Emerson Vineyards is a family operation, and that shows at many levels. Tom’s grandfather, Emerson Waldo Fisher, is the namesake of our winery. Emerson was a creative, devoted, and ingenious man who continues to be an inspiration to his family long since his passing.
Elliott Johns is the “vines and wines” part of the Emerson Vineyards equation. Born in Corvallis, he is a graduate of Oregon State University’s Fermentation Science program. Elliott has worked with Elk Cove Vineyards in Gaston and Chard Farm Winery in New Zealand. Elliott lives in McMinnville with his wife Jenny, their daughter Livy, their son Cooper. When he’s not growing grapes, making wine, or raising a family, Elliott always relishes a round of golf or tending his home gardens.
Tom Johns is not-really-retired after a decades-long career in the medical industry. Among other things, Tom is the business and marketing department at Emerson Vineyards. Tom and his wife Jane live on the estate at Emerson Vineyards. In his free time, Tom enjoys golf, movies, books, travel and meeting new people.
